Pictures, cards, candy wrappers. She looked at those pieces of memory and saw the moments come back to life. She clutched a letter to her chest and the deepest feelings of longing made tears run down her cheeks. She missed the smiles, the banter, the movies on the mattress. She missed the affection. She even missed the fights. She missed him.

As horas passavam devagar. Os minutos pareciam cochichar entre si, tramando um plano sonolento junto ao ponteiro do relógio. Mais rápido, ordenou ela. Ansiedade que consumia. Dúvidas que queimavam. The hours were passing slowly. The minutes seemed to whisper to each other, plotting a sleepy plan next to the clock's hand. Faster, she ordered. Anxiety that consumed. Doubts that burned. A meeting, a conversation, a decision. Putting part of her life in someone else's hands just didn't feel right. What if I suffer?, she thought. To which her heart replied: Then we'll try again.
